As many Utahns know, every year temple square wants to “light things up”  Thousands of families and tourists flock to Temple Square to see the lights.  Getting there by car can be very stressful so most hop on Trax to get there.  Trax has many parking lots available along the Wasatch Front for those who choose to ride Trax.  I guess it’s more of a convenience thing.

Today, Temple Square features two visitors’ centers, called the North Visitors’ Center and the South Visitor’s Center. The North Visitors’ Center was built first and features a replica of The Christus, a statue of Jesus Christ by Danish artist Bertel Thorvaldsen. The Christus is located in a domed room with large windows, painted with clouds, stars, planets, and other heavenly bodies.
The visitors’ centers and grounds are staffed by Sister Missionaries and Senior Missionary couples exclusively; no single male missionaries are called to serve on Temple Square.
